Dr. Pandya has served as an attending optometrist at the Edward Hines Jr VA Hospital since 2018, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex retinal, neurologic and systemic ocular conditions within a multidisciplinary ophthalmology setting. Prior to joining the VA, Dr. Pandya practiced medical optometry in private ophthalmology settings as well as the Illinois Eye Institute and the Rosenbloom Center for Vision and Aging.

Since her appointment in 2018, she has completed the local Hines VA Leadership Development Program as well as the national Leadership VA Program. She is active within the Optometry National Program Office, serves as the VISN 12 Optometry Lead and is a committee member of the National Association of Veterans Affairs Optometrists.
​
She attained her Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) in 2012 and is involved at the national and state level though her Admittance Committee participation and was the past President of the Illinois Chapter of the Academy from 2022-2024. She is board-certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.

Currently, Dr. Pandya serves as the Student Externship Coordinator at the Hines VA Eye Clinic and is the Hines Blind Rehabilitation Site Director of Low Vision.
