Victoria M Butcko, OD, FAAO

Dr. Butcko has been on staff at the Jesse Brown VAMC since completing her fellowship in 2007. In addition to performing direct patient care she acts as an attending in the clinic where she teaches the residents and students in both a clinical and didactic setting. Dr. Butcko is also the Director of the Specialty Contact Lens Clinic where patient care is provided by the Jesse Brown residents.

Dr. Butcko attained her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2007 and actively attends yearly Academy meetings with her most recent grand rounds presentation in 2016. She has also been a member of the Admittance Committee of the Academy since 2014. In 2019, Dr. Butcko was elected as a Trustee of the Illinois Chapter of the Academy. She is a member of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry serving as a clinical skills examiner from 2008-2011, and now acts as a Remote Examiner for Part 3 of National Boards.

Dr. Butcko maintains a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Illinois Chicago in the Ophthalmology Department and resides in Glenview, IL with her husband, two sons and daughter.
